Welcome to Butcher and the Brewer, a standout brewpub located in the heart of Cleveland’s vibrant sports district at 2043 E 4th St. This local gem not only brews its beers on-site but also serves up an enticing menu of American cuisine, perfectly crafted to complement its impressive beer selection. With a lively atmosphere and friendly service, Butcher and the Brewer is a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors alike.

The brewpub’s warm and inviting ambiance, enhanced by communal seating options and a stylish bar, makes it perfect for casual outings, post-game celebrations, or even a mid-week treat. Picture yourself unwinding in a bustling yet comfortable setting, a cold drink in hand, surrounded by the spirited chatter of fellow patrons.

Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show: the beers and the food. Butcher and the Brewer offers an exciting assortment of hand-crafted brews, including the Snobs Spring Wheat, an imperial wheat beer brewed with local Ohio malt and European hops. This hefty weissbier, with its refreshing notes, is ideal for welcoming the warm embrace of spring. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Feeling Dangerous Hazy Pale Ale—with vibrant notes of nectarine and tropical fruit, it carries a 6.5% ABV that whispers promises of summer fun.

The food menu is equally tempting, showcasing simple yet delectable American dishes that will satisfy any craving. As one delighted customer, Matt Pawlak, mentioned, the sliders are a must-try, perfect for those craving a burger fix. The pork belly bites and chicken wings have also received rave reviews, with praise for their exquisite flavor and freshness. Rigor the Reaper enjoyed the delightful potato pancakes during a festive St. Patrick's Day visit, emphasizing how attentive and friendly the bartenders were, even during the busy rush.

While some guests have reported minor issues with the ordering system, the exceptional staff at Butcher and the Brewer have left a lasting positive impression, turning around their experiences remarkably. Brenda Burgess loved the fun atmosphere and scrumptious drinks, recommending others to indulge in this local hotspot.

So, whether you’re stopping by for a refreshing drink before a game, enjoying a meal with friends, or simply seeking a delightful brewpub experience, Butcher and the Brewer holds something special just for you. Give them a visit; your taste buds will thank you!

This place was sooo good for relatively simple American cuisine menu. I had been craving a hamburger for a couple weeks and the sliders were so good. Service was so prompt. When wife asked for GF options the server went back and asked. They didn’t have exclusive menu but he put everything on his phone to show her GF options. Look forward to next visit.

Really nice venue close to the ballpark. App to order drinks and food is awful, especially if you are from overseas. Luckily, there was an amazing bartender that took our orders instead and completely turned things around. Great selection of beers. Food looked good too, but had filled up at the baseball. Will definitely be back!

Came here for st. Paddys day. Although busy the bartenders were attentive and friendly. The food was really good and fresh tasting. Got the potato pancake and cocktails. Would definitely come back.

Absolute gem in downtown Cleveland. All the food and beer was delicious. Picture is of the pork belly bites, but the chicken wings were out of this world and so were the Brussels sprouts, kimchi balls and sliders. Highly recommend!!

We ate here after the Tigers/Guardians’ game on the 4th of July. My husband had the wings, and I ordered the flank steak. He said the wings were pretty good, but they were overpriced. My flank steak was cooked how I ordered it, but the seasoning either on the steak or in the chimichurri sauce had too much salt. It’s a good spot for a drink though. I had a glass of Pinot Noir, and it was reasonably priced. It didn’t arrive until after my husband got his wings though. I feel like they were short-staffed that night.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff. You have to use your phone to scan the QR code to get the menu. That's the only part we didn't like cause my phone takes forever to load. But the drinks were great, the food was delicious, we would highly recommend you stop in and give them a try!
